Your Daily COPpuccino: Episode 10

Throughout COP26, our own Peter Willis will be talking to thought leaders about climate resilience in this daily video-podcast, hosted by the COP Resilience Hub.

In this final episode of Daily COPpuccinos, Peter talks to Dr Juliet Mian, Executive Director of The Resilience Shift.

Juliet talks about the value of highlighting good examples of resilience. Covid-19 revealed a form of resilience far removed from infrastructure planning and modelling, namely how many people adopted the stance, “How can I help here?” – something few experts had modelled. Cape Town’s ‘Day Zero’ drought crisis also revealed how much collaboration and trust across sectors and demographics could emerge under pressure.

A resilience mindset is no single quality or skill set; it requires the humility to connect with and listen to multiple others and learn continuously.
