Infrastructure Pathways Launched at COP26

We are delighted to have launched the Infrastructure Pathways initiative at COP26 this week.

Infrastructure Pathways is an International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure initiative, led by The Resilience Shift and supported by Arup. It aims to develop a clear and consistent framework of existing guidance that practitioners can use to embed climate resilience within infrastructure.

This is a resource for practitioners in search of clear, easy-to-navigate guidance on climate-resilient infrastructure. Using Infrastructure Pathways will foster more informed decision-making, improved coordination and better collective impact from practitioners across the infrastructure lifecycle to better manage climate risk and embed climate resilience and adaptation.

It aims to organize, explain and link key existing information, guidance, and tools from hundreds of sources on climate-resilient infrastructure across the infrastructure lifecycle, providing practical, mutually-reinforcing actions in each phase of infrastructure development, and creating a ‘golden thread’ across systems and practitioners.

This resource is the culmination of countless contributions from infrastructure specialists across sectors, and will serve as an evolving, living resource to help practitioners embed resilience in their day-to-day practice and ultimately, foster a community of practice.

Learn more about Infrastructure Pathways and explore the resource here.
